Supermum Hayley Raises £350
Supermum Hayley Green from our under 10's team and sister-in-law Sarah have raised more than £350.00 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorns Children’s Hospice after participating in the "Walk for Harry" event organised by Free Radio. The Walk for Harry was created in memory of and as a tribute to Harry Moseley, who tirelessly raised funds for Cancer Research whilst fighting his own battle with brain cancer. The event included a 10 mile family walk and a 26 mile circuit around the perimeter of the city centre and raised in excess of £420,000 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorns Children’s Hospice who both offered support to Harry and his family during his illness. Commenting on the success of the walk Phil Riley, Chief Executive of Free Radio said; “This has been a fantastic day. Over 10,000 walkers have given their time, commitment and energy to raise funds for two brilliant organisations in memory of Harry Moseley. Today’s Walk for Harry has proved how generous the people of Birmingham are as collectively they have raised over £420,000 which is a record in fundraising terms for these walks. Free Radio wants to thank everyone who has in some way helped and supported us with this event- it has been truly inspiring.
